    Phil F. Cruz

    Staff Dr. Phil F. Cruz A graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He completed his clinical year at Purdue University and has a special interest in surgery and cytology. He is a native of Miami and has been in small animal practice since his graduation. Dr. Cruz is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the South Florida Veterinary Medical Association. He is married with two beautiful girls and enjoys camping, hiking, and the outdoors. His pets (at this time) include a brown Chihuahua named “Kloe”, two cats named “Tiki” and “Echo” and a fish called “Tails”.

    Cyrena Rose
    Relief Veterinarian
    Dr. Rose graduated with High Honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She praticed as an associate small animal veterinarian in Tampa for 2 years and then moved to Miami to work as a relief vet. She has been providing veterinary relief services for Red Bird Animal Clinic since 2006. Surgery, preventative health and client education are her special interests. She regularly works at the local Humane Societies helping to spay and neuter South Florida animals to promote better health and limit pet over population. She and her loving husband that helped encourage her to pursue her passion for veterinary medicine currently share their home with a rescued golden retriever, and two rescued orange tabbies.
  • Dr. Amanda Levantino
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Amanda Levantino graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After graduation, she completed a 13-month small animal medicine and surgery internship in New Jersey.  She then completed a 12-month neurology and neurosurgery internship in Pennsylvania.

    She moved to Miami to continue her passion for small animal medicine and is excited to be a member of the Red Bird Animal Clinic team.
    Her special interests include preventative medicine, client education, and soft tissue surgery. She is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the South Florida Veterinary Medical Association.
    In her spare time, Dr. Levantino enjoys running, dancing, and adventuring with her loving husband. The Levantino household consists of several four-legged companions: one crazy dog named “Chimi” and two adorable cats named “Tigress” and “Mushroom”.

    Teyma has been a member of our team since 2005. Happily married to Dr. Cruz, they also have two beautiful girls. When not in the office, she is running around taking the girls to extra curricular activities.
