Staff Dr. Phil F. Cruz A graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He completed his clinical year at Purdue University and has a special interest in surgery and cytology. He is a native of Miami and has been in small animal practice since his graduation. Dr. Cruz is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the South Florida Veterinary Medical Association. He is married with two beautiful girls and enjoys camping, hiking, and the outdoors. His pets (at this time) include a brown Chihuahua named “Kloe”, two cats named “Tiki” and “Echo” and a fish called “Tails”.
Dr. Amanda Levantino graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After graduation, she completed a 13-month small animal medicine and surgery internship in New Jersey. She then completed a 12-month neurology and neurosurgery internship in Pennsylvania.
She moved to Miami to continue her passion for small animal medicine and is excited to be a member of the Red Bird Animal Clinic team.
Her special interests include preventative medicine, client education, and soft tissue surgery. She is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the South Florida Veterinary Medical Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Levantino enjoys running, dancing, and adventuring with her loving husband. The Levantino household consists of several four-legged companions: one crazy dog named “Chimi” and two adorable cats named “Tigress” and “Mushroom”.
